The following music was improvised collectively in its entirety. it doesn’t follow or represent a particular style or structure. it rather weaves itself as it goes, using the threads of our hive consciousness - and unconsciousness. This music is made of an equal part of nine different individuals, and yet it is defined by a common resonance. It is purely, unequivocally, free.

This studio session represents almost seven years of musical, artistic and humane evolution. One could perceive this music as a massive symphony of colliding worlds, that emerges from the visceral intensity of collective improvisation. What it really signifies is the purest form of mass liberation, where differences and individualities are harvest towards a common goal, a common universal language that knows not prejudice, barriers or rules.

The Ensemble Interctivo de La Habana (EIH) is a group of creators and performers dedicated to developing and promoting musical practices of an interdisciplinary and experimental nature. Creation is based on different improvisation formulas, and it is always collective. The EIH has been the protagonist of the most experimental performances in festivals and events such as the Casa de las Américas Composition Prize, the Contemporary Music Festival, the Havana City in Motion Street Dance Festival and the ISA Arts Festival. They have also taken their art to the streets and disadvantaged communities of the city.
EIH is a group of creators and performers dedicated to the development and promotion of interdisciplinary and experimental music in cuba. their creative process is based on different improvisation formulas, and it’s always collective. another of the ensemble’s hallmarks is the broad timbral spectrum given by the use and combination of varied instruments from the symphonic world, ethnic music and electronic music. the eih has been protagonist of the most experimental performances within festivals and events such as the casa de las americas composition prize, the contemporary music festival of havana, the “voix humaines” festival and the isa arts festival. they’ve also starred in several street performances all along havana. in 2018, the eih was awarded the “reino de este mundo” scholarship by the “hermanos saiz” association, with which they produced the film “caracol nocturno: un homenaje a jose lezama lima”, their creative pinnacle so far.
